Hi! I’m Your Binder.
My name is Jared, and I will be the person binding your albums, boxes, folios and more! I am a self taught binder, and have been making these wonderful heirlooms for clients all over the world since 2010. Prior to that, I was a wedding & portrait photographer.
Together with my wife Kennes, we started this bindery, initially making folios before moving to handcrafting boxes and eventually albums. Every keepsake you see if is printed and made in-house, using traditional bookbinding methods.

As of the time I writing this, I just made a box for a client today. After more than a decade of doing this, I am still in awe and have such a sense of satisfaction seeing raw, base materials of boards, cloth, glue, combined with the use of basic tools like a bonefolder, a blade, a pair or scissors, a straightedge to form these beautiful, stunning keepsakes.
This love of binding has also took me on a journey in making beautiful handsewn sketchbooks during the pandemic when there were no weddings nor portraits sessions.
– OUR QUALITY & MATERIALS WE USE –
Personally handcrafting each keepsake (where every single one takes several hours to make), it would only make sense to use the finest materials considering the amount of meticulous work that goes into each and every product.
Japanese Silks & Fabrics
We personally import these wonderful cover materials from Japan ourselves. These stunning fabrics, rich and deep and colour are truly a level on its own. While many album makers use paper and paper materials, we insist on only using these fabrics for our prducts.
The Japanese mill, with over 50 years of history, hand dyes and makes their own cover materials, resulting in these beautiful cover materials we use exclusively for our Artisan Series range of albums, boxes and folios.
Print Quality & Papers
Print Quality: We only use archival grade 12 Colour Pigment Inks, Inkjet Printing. We DO NOT use press prints (usually 4 or 6 colour, dye inks), nor lab prints. Our inkjet printing is the highest quality print, the deepest blacks and stunning, robust colours, which are extremely fade resistant.
Paper Quality: For all our keepsakes, we use a German made, heavyweight archival grade paper with a matte finishing, made specifically for inkjet printers. Also available for some printed products, we offer a semi gloss paper (Germany), glossy paper (France) and 100% museum grade fine art (German).
Lamination: For our range of albums, our lamination has a beautiful matte, velvet like finishing. Imported from Korea.
Our Boards & Paper Materials
Album Substrates: Imported from Italy, all of our album substrates are acid-free bright white paperboards.
Matboards: All our hand cut matboards are American made, bright white / ivory, approximately 1.5mm thick.

– A COMPARISON: OURS VS OTHERS –
We’ve been asked countless times about why our handmade keepsakes cost more. Our belief is that we want to make precious heirlooms that will last for decades, even passing down to the next generation. For your clients’ most precious memories – weddings, the birth of their children, an unforgettable family trip, a huge milestone in their life, a family patriarch or matriarch portrait and countless more, we’re always honored that we’ve been selected to be a small part of it.
We are also the only bindery that can print very personal keepsakes, such as boudoir shoots, where the entire process of downloading, printing, binding all the way to packing is handled personally by me, where not a single other person will have access to the entire time. The files are all subsequently digitally shredded for added privacy.
